The AES-2000S Accessible Entry System provides both audio and visual assistance for those with disabilities.
The LCD display with large 0.5″ tall characters is back-lit and will display a directory of tenants as well as directions and prompts. A built-in voice recorder and announcer can also provide a supporting audio message. When the *EZ® HELP button is pressed, instructions on how to use the system are both displayed and announced.
The built-in directory can support up to 525 tenant names and phone numbers and will dial a pre-programmed phone number upon selection of a tenant. Once two-way communication has been established, the tenant can activate a remote door strike by entering a touch tone command. A second relay is also provided to operate an automatic door. The AES-2000S will also support keyless entry at the door via its built-in keypad, or add a Viking Proximity Reader.
The AES-2000S is designed to be surface mounted. If a flush mount version is required, use model AES-2000F. Both versions feature durable vandal resistant faceplates and housing.
Note: This unit requires a Viking PB-100 (sold separately) for programming and because it uses modem transmissions, it requires a high quality analog phone line for proper operation.

This entry system is designed to utilize a building’s existing telephone wiring and to address a variety of apartment entry applications. Viking’s C-3000 Entry System provides secure multi-tenant building access, without the need for any CO lines; the only requirement is that each tenant have a touchtone telephone set wired to their apartment. The C-3000 performs equally as well in installations where CO lines are present. An individual C-3000 module has a 12 tenant capacity; for larger applications, a maximum of eight C-3000 modules can be interconnected, allowing a total system capacity of up to 96 tenants. A C-3000 system consists of at least one Master C-3000 module, and as many as seven Slave C-3000 modules.
From either of two entry doors, visitors may ring a tenant’s telephone with a distinctive cadence, alerting the tenant of their arrival. The C-3000 provides call waiting tones if the tenant’s line is in use. The tenant may then converse freely with the visitor via their existing telephones. Once identified, the tenant can let the visitor in by entering a single touch tone on the keypad of the tenant’s telephone set.
The C-3000 keyless entry feature supports unique entry codes for each tenant. As a measure of security, the codes can be easily changed as tenants move in and out of the building. A postal lock feature is also supplied as an added convenience.
Viking’s D6 Directory is a high quality vandal-resistant stainless steel display that is easy to install. This directory is designed specifically to compliment secure building entry systems, and is constructed for both weather and vandal resistance.
The D6 directory is constructed from durable 18 gauge brushed stainless steel to perfectly match the style and function of Viking’s stainless steel phones.
The K-1200 Entry Phone is a two-way, handsfree telephone with 12 buttons for calling individual residences in an apartment building. The rugged stainless steel faceplate has a printed directory housed in a waterproof, scratch-resistant lens. Each button is beside the tenants name in the directory so there are no confusing codes to deal with. Calling a particular tenant is as easy as pressing a single button. The K-1200 has a built in speed dialer that can handle up to 12 primary phone numbers, each with 22 digits. If there is no answer at the first number, a second number can be called automatically. Once the tenant answers their phone, a single touch tone command can activate the door strike relay. For “no phone line” applications, the K-1200 is compatible with the C-3000 no CO (phone line) controller.
The K-1200-EWP shares all of the features of the K-1200 in addition to Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP) for outdoor installations where the unit is exposed to precipitation or condensation. EWP products feature foam rubber gaskets and boots, sealed connections, gel-filled butt connectors, as well as urethane or thermal plastic potted circuit boards with internally sealed, field-adjustable trim pots and DIP switches for easy on-site programming.v
The K-1700-3 is a tough and attractive speaker phone designed to provide two-way handsfree communication, ideal for apartment and residential door entry applications. The entry phone features microphone and speaker volume controls, selectable auto answer for monitoring, and intelligent call progress detection for automatic hang-up when the call is completed.
When the “Call” button is pressed, the K-1700-3 returns dial tone, and the keypad may then be used to dial any number. If no touch tone is entered within 8 seconds, CPC is detected, a busy signal is detected, or the programmable maximum call time has elapsed, the K-1700-3 will automatically disconnect. Alternatively, the K-1700-3 may be disconnected by pressing the “Call” button again.
The K-1700-3 is designed to be flush mounted using the included rough-in box. Surface mount options are also available using Viking’s VE-6X7 Series Surface Mount Boxes.
For outdoor installations where the unit is exposed to precipitation or condensation, use model K-1700-3-EWP. For more information on Enhanced Weather Protection (EWP), see DOD 859.
The K-1900-3 converts any touch tone phone into a multi-number auto dialer that will store up to 250 telephone numbers in non-volatile memory. Use with Viking’s K-1700-3 or K-1900-8 phones to provide vandal resistant handsfree or handset communication.
When a call initiated by the K-1900-3 is answered by an apartment or business tenant, a built-in contact closure may be activated to control an electric gate or door strike. Up to 250 keyless entry codes may also be programmed, providing tenants with keyless entry. In addition, a master keyless entry code and up to five maintenance codes can be programmed.
Calling activity and keyless entry use can be monitored using the log bus data output. The K-1900-3 can be programmed locally or remotely using a standard touch tone phone. The K-1900-3 has built-in user dialing restriction to help prevent unauthorized calls and toll fraud.
The PB-100 is used to provide status polling of Viking 1600A Series Emergency Phones or remote programming of AES-2000 Entry Systems. The PB-100 can connect to an unused serial port on your PC or use the included RS-232 to USB converter cable to connected to a USB port. A CD is provided with these two applications along with software for programming other Viking products.
When used to poll 1600A Series Emergency Phones, the application software allows the user to set up a list of phones to call along with a scheduled time for calling. Through the PB-100, each phone can be called, its ID code verified and it’s mic and speaker tested. When finished, the application software logs the time of the call and the results.
When programming an AES-2000, the application software allows the user to manage multiple units with resident’s phone numbers and access codes. By using a standard telephone connected to the PB-100, the recording of each tenant’s name can be done. The software also supports delayed uploading the downloaded statistics.
Note: The PB-100 utilizes an internal modem for programming. This requires an analog phone line or VoIP line with a high quality network connection and non-compressing codec.
The C-4000 converts any four touch tone phones into multi-number auto dialers that will store up to 250 telephone numbers in non-volatile memory. Use with Viking’s K-1700-3 or K-1900-8 phones to provide vandal resistant handsfree or handset communication from entry points to apartments or offices.
When a call initiated by the C-4000 is answered by an apartment or business tenant, a built-in contact closure may be activated by touch tones to control an electric gate or door strike. Up to 250 entry codes may also be programmed providing tenants with keyless entry or optional Viking proximity readers may be added for card / fob entry.
The C-4000 can be programmed locally or remotely using a standard Touch Tone phone. The C-4000 has built-in user dialing restriction to help prevent unauthorized calls and toll fraud.
